Formerly noted as the bungalow-sized residence of Raja Jai Singh, the famous Gurudwara Bangla Sahib was used to be locally known as 'Jaisinghpura Palace'. Later on, in the 18th century, the palace was converted to a gurdwara as a tribute to Guru Harikishan Sahib. Now the beautiful gurudwara stands out as a significant pilgrimage site for all Sikh devotees. The golden domed main building beside gurgling sarovar and comfortable Yatri Niwas records thousands of visits of devotees from various religions. Interestingly, the religious place also boasts a hospital, school, museum, and an art gallery.
